River Valley Roofing: Serving Eastern & Central Connecticut

An Owens Corning Preferred Contractor means our team is factory trained and certified by Owens Corning. It also means we are authorized to offer elite, extended warranties, including up to a 50 year material warranty. Uncertified roofing contractors cannot provide this offer.

Homeowners insurance in Connecticut typically covers a full roof replacement when the damage is sudden or accidental. For example, wind, fire, hail, storm damage, or a fallen tree limb. However, insurance policies generally do not cover roof replacements due to normal aging, everyday wear and tear, or a lack of routine maintenance.

If you suspect your home has suffered storm damage, we can perform a free drone inspection to provide the evidence required to support your insurance claim. Contact River Valley Roofing LLC to learn more.

River Valley Roofing is based in the town of Colchester, CT. Our service area covers Hartford, Middlesex and New London Counties. The core towns we service are Colchester, Marlborough, East Hampton, Salem, Lebanon and East Haddam.

If you need a roof replacement, repair, gutter installation or a drone inspection outside our Central & Eastern Connecticut service area, please let us know. We regularly service surrounding communities in all three counties.

River Valley Roofing LLC is proud to offer our Owens Corning Preferred Protection Limited Warranty with the installation of a Total Protection Roofing System. This warranty covers both material defects and a 10-year workmanship protection plan.

Key warranty details include:

• Material defects: covers full replacement of defective roofing materials for the first 10 years.
• Workmanship: includes a 10-year period where installation errors, if any, and the labor costs to fix them are covered.
• Total Protection Roofing System requirement: you must have a minimum of four qualifying Owens Corning roofing components, such as shingles, underlayment and hip and ridge accessories.

It can be tempting to go on YouTube, find a video explaining how to do your own roof repairs and save money, but we highly discourage it for four reasons.

• Severe safety risks: roofing is dangerous work. Without proper safety harnesses, training and experience navigating steep pitches or weakened decking, the risk of a serious fall is incredibly high.
• Hidden damage: a missing shingle might be one of many issues. Professional roofing contractors are trained to spot underlying problems, like rotting wood, that cause far worse leaks down the road.
• Voided warranties: most roofing material manufacturers require their products to be installed by certified professionals.
• Long-term costs: a DIY roof repair done incorrectly often costs more to fix in the long run. Improper patching frequently leads to extensive water damage.

When it comes to protecting your home, peace of mind is worth the investment. For safe, guaranteed workmanship, reach out to River Valley Roofing LLC for a professional inspection before climbing the ladder yourself.
